New Year, New Posts
I am not a big believer in New Year’s Resolutions, so I don’t make them. I am, however, a big believer in retrospection and that’s where change really starts.
I decided I didn’t like the way I felt when I didn’t keep my resolutions. I felt like a failure – so I quit.
And I felt better.
And I accomplished things.
Some had been on my “Resolutions” list for years.
Taking the pressure off of keeping to something I wasn’t really ready to commit to and feeling successful worked for me, not against me.
When we look at the motivation (or lack of) for our actions, reactions and behaviors we can see why we do what we do or did. Then if we want to make the change we have a starting point.
But that’s just the beginning. To make changes, “you must do, not try,” as Yoda says.
That’s what this post is all about: doing. I am “doing” blogging, not thinking about it, not wondering what I should write, not worrying about what my blog should be about, not surfing the net for the next big blog on how to blog successfully.
I’m just blogging.
I’m just doing.
So there you have it. No resolution, no plan, but a post.
Hope your year is off to a great start.
Happy New Year.
